Messages Uncover the late financier and former Trump strategist Ties

In late 2018, Steve Bannon, previously Donald Trump's chief strategist, was in the UK preparing for a speech at the Oxford Union.

The speech was disrupted by hundreds of demonstrators, and Bannon, scheduled to board a flight that evening, informed Jeffrey Epstein in an message: "Protesters delayed my talk don't think I can catch the plane we r enroute to heathrow".

Epstein responded: "That. Is a gulf air that leaves at 950 with a stop in Bahrain". Bannon replied: "You are an excellent assistant".

These messages were released on Wednesday alongside more than 20,000 documents from the estate of Epstein, the late convicted sex offender.

The release by the House oversight committee contains an iMessage chat where Bannon's name is withheld. Media outlets managed to establish his involvement by cross-referencing the dates, occurrences, and places referenced.

For example, Epstein talks about chartering a jet from Scotland for the unnamed individual in the chat, and commends their "Oxford speech". Bannon participated in the News Xchange conference on 14 November, and gave the speech at the Oxford Union two days later.

Bannon, who is not accused of any wrongdoing, declined to comment on the request for comment.

'I'll make sure you're well looked after'

Bannon served as Trump's key aides in the lead-up to the 2016 election and during the initial phase of his first administration, but resigned from the White House in August 2017.

He has admitted he was making a film about Epstein before his passing and reportedly has around 15 hours of recordings. In a live taping of his show earlier this year, he stated: "We're going to publish the film, the five-part series, next year - early next year."

But the newly released materials suggest Bannon's relationship with Epstein extended than documenting his life, with the disgraced financier occasionally seeming to act like a aide.

A few days prior to the exchange in which Epstein appeared to have booked a charter jet for Bannon, Epstein remarked: "what's it like to have the most highly paid booking agent in history ".

Bannon expressed gratitude: "U r quite capable assistant", to which Epstein responded "Massages. Excluded".

Discussing a visit to "Abu Dhabi" in another message, Epstein told Bannon: "I will ensure you're taken care of."

UK Politics Mentioned in Exchanges

The published messages also reveal Bannon and Epstein talking about UK politics in that year.

Earlier on the day of his address at the Oxford, Bannon messaged Epstein: "I became involved in the EU exit issue this morning with Farage, Boris and Rees Mogg."

Then, in what appears to be a reference to the UK prime minister, the struggling UK prime minister at the time, he continued: "The guys are attempting to proceed. may soon…"

Epstein suggested Bannon: "I think staying as much as you can uk. Best-- so others get the commitment of your follow-up."

Shortly after, Epstein asked: "Can Theresa may survive". Bannon replied: "It seems unlikely BUT the people here have little courage" and added "Johnson ; Gove; Jacob Rees-Mogg; Davis - somebody has to take charge".

Theresa May was eventually removed in May 2019 after withstanding multiple attempts of lack of support in December 2018.

A representative for Reform UK informed the BBC: "Farage has not been in a gathering with Steve Bannon, Jacob Rees Mogg and Johnson." And there is nothing to suggest that encounter occurred.

The Congress will vote next week on whether the Department of Justice should release all its records related to its probe into Epstein, who passed away in jail in that year.

Interest in Epstein's relationships with influential individuals was reignited recently after the publication of more than 20,000 documents from his estate.

Some of those referenced the former president, who has repeatedly denied any wrongdoing. The leader was a acquaintance of Epstein's for years, but claims they fell out in the 2000s, two years before Epstein was first arrested.
