The assault caused the partial closure of the Central Terminal Area tunnel and the Terminal 3 parking area.

An additional two individuals are now in custody related to a theft at London's Heathrow Airport where over twenty individuals sustained injuries by a substance believed to be pepper spray, according to police.

A 24-year-old man, was arrested in the Lambeth area on suspicion of robbery and assault and a woman, 23 was arrested for suspected conspiring to commit a robbery. Both individuals are still being held, the force said.

These detentions follow an investigation into an attack at the multi-storey car park at Terminal 3 this past Sunday. Before the attack, two women were robbed of their luggage after getting out of a parking garage elevator.

A three-year-old girl was one of the those hurt during the incident. A total of five individuals went to hospital for treatment and have since been discharged.

Officers detained a 31-year-old man for suspected robbery and assault near the location. He has since been released under investigation while inquiries continue.

Authorities were alerted at approximately 08:10 GMT following reports of several individuals injured by a noxious substance thought to be an irritant spray.

The attack - an event that police said was isolated and not being treated as terrorism - resulted in delays to rail services and the temporary shutdown of the Central Terminal Area tunnel and the Terminal 3 parking facility briefly.
